John Mensah has been linked with a move to Portsmouth. The Rennes defender has admitted he would relish the opportunity to link up with his Ghana teammate john Utaka. Mensah is regarded as one of the best defenders in France.
"I would be happy to join him. I think it is a good place for an African player," Mensah told The Sun.
"In the past Reading spoke about me and I know they are still interested.
"But with Portsmouth joining the picture it has made it even more interesting."
Mensah also claims that there are more clubs from the Premier League looking at him in addition to Portsmouth and Reading.
He added: "They are not the only top English club keen on me."
