Cavani won't join Man United

Edinson Cavani rejects Manchester United move?

25 January 2020 - 17:53

Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani has reportedly turned down a move to Manchester United despite being offered with a lucrative deal to join the club.

  • Chelsea urged to sign Man City star on free transfer
  • Chelsea squad want Xabi Alonso as manager
  • The Red Devils are keen on landing a new marksman after the injury setback for Marcus Rashford and Cavani has been earmarked as one of the top players to fulfil the void.

According to FootMercato, the Red Devils are prepared to meet the £20m asking price for Cavani's signature and in addition to this, they are willing to hand him with an annual wage package of around £10m.

However, the Uruguayan has snubbed their advances and he is reportedly holding out for a move to Atletico Madrid, though the Spanish club are yet to meet the demands of Les Parisiens.

Atleti currently believe that Cavani's price tag remains steep for them and reports have claimed elsewhere that they could wait until the summer to sign him on a free when his contract expires.
