King out for rest of season

King out for rest of season

03 April 2008 - 23:17

Tottenham defender Ledley King has been ruled out for the rest of the season with the knee injury that has already taken away so much of the England centre back's season. King is set to spend more time on the sidelines now after inflamming his initial injury.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • King told Tottenham's official website - "My knee is actually feeling good at the moment and there is no inflammation, but we have to look at the bigger picture and accept that this is an ideal point in time to recover further, get best advice and make sure that I come back fitter.

"They are six games I could well have taken part in, but we all believe this is worth doing for the longer term benefit."
