Adrian speaks on his future at Liverpool

Spanish goalkeeper Adrian has said that he has no plans of pursuing a fresh challenging away from Liverpool when the transfer window reopens.

  • Tottenham planning to beat Chelsea to English striker?
  • Man Utd handed injury boost ahead of Burnley game

  • The 33-year-old made the shock move to Anfield on a free last summer after the club decided to sanction the sale of Simon Mignolet to Club Brugge.

He has since acted as the deputy to Alisson Becker and has earned more appearances than initially anticipated due to the untimely injuries for the Brazil international.

Adrian has already managed 18 games for the Merseyside giants and speaking to the club's official website, he has said that he is 'really happy' to have taken the decision to join the side.

"This club has totally exceeded my expectations. I think coming here was the perfect decision at the perfect time. I am really happy I took that decision, to have that patience in that moment of the summer and to be here," he told.

Adrian made an impressive beginning to his career with the European champions and starred in their UEFA Super Cup win over Chelsea through a penalty shoot-out.

His form, however, has dipped during the backend of the season and he has been at fault for some poor goalkeeping decisions, a couple of which came in the club's Champions League round of 16 exit to Atletico Madrid.
