Kalou: we need an early goal

Salomon Kalou has targetted an early goal in the match tonight between Chelsea and Fenerbahce in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are currently 1-0 down from the first leg.

"We are all aware of the situation against Fenerbahce, we've got to get it right," he told L'Equipe. "We have to score early to put them under pressure. However, if we play as we did in Turkey, it will be difficult.



"The media will say that qualification will save our coach, but for us players, our responsibility is just to help the club reach a Champions League semi-final because our aim is the great final.”
