Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refuses to speak on Sancho speculation

18 September 2020 - 21:36

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to comment on the ongoing speculation linking Jadon Sancho with a move to the club.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Sancho has been widely rumoured as the prime transfer target for the Red Devils, but the club have failed to strike a deal with Borussia Dortmund.

The Mancunian giants were obviously aiming to finalise a move at the earliest possibility, but they have been put off by Dortmund's £108m price tag.

Speaking ahead of the Crystal Palace game on Saturday, Solskjaer was asked about the transfer link with Sancho, but he refused to talk about the same.

He told: "You know I can't say anything about other clubs' players out of respect to them. I can't speculate. Let's just wait and see if we manage to bring anyone in."

United have made just one major signing in the form of Donny van de Beek from Ajax this summer. The Netherlands international joined them in a deal worth £40m from the Eredivisie champions.

Van de Beek started pre-season early with Ajax compared to the Manchester United players and he could make the starting lineup for the season opener against Crystal Palace.
