Arsenal chase Kamel Ghilas

15 April 2008 - 13:15

Arsenal are chasing the signature of versatile player Kamel Fhati Ghilas. The Gunners have been tracking the signing of the player since mid 2007. Wenger has been in constant contact with his Portuguese scouts over the player.

  • Arsenal & Chelsea want to sign ex-Forest midfielder
  • Chelsea set for massive double injury boost vs Liverpool
  • The versatile player is capable of playing on the left or in the middle of midfield or attack.

The 24 year old currently plays for Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes and formerly played for French team Cannes.

Guimaraes are prepared to let Kamel Ghilas leave for a fee in the region of £1.75 million.

The player was born in France - despite representing Algeria - and so does not require a work permit.
