Arsenal have reportedly ended their pursuit of Real Madrid attacker Isco after learning that the Spaniard would prefer to remain in La Liga.
The Gunners are on the search for a creative midfielder this month and they have been linked with several players including Isco and Emiliano Buendia.
Isco is desperate for regular playing time during the backend of the season as he looks to get back to national team contention ahead of Euro 2020.
According to Marca, the Gunners hold an interest in the 28-year-old, but they are aware that the midfielder is not keen on moving to a fresh league.
Hence, they are unlikely to follow up their initial interest and their focus may instead lie on pursuing the services of Buendia from Norwich City.
The north London giants have recently won three league games on the bounce and Emile Smith-Rowe has shone from the number 10 role.
The Gunners graduate has bagged a couple of assists, but the hierarchy are still on the search for another attacking midfielder with experience.
