Rangers boss Walter Smith admitted he was very disappointed to throw away a great opportunity after losing his first Old Firm derby since taking control of the Glasgow giants. A last minute winner from Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink wrapped up the result for Celtic.
âWe had a situation where Celtic were the better side in the first half, although there werenât many opportunities,â he told BBC Scotland.
âIn the second half we imposed ourselves better and equalised.
âWhen you get a man sent off the game is always going to turn.
âWhen youâre in our situation - defending really well and preventing many opportunities â itâs difficult to take.
âWe were disappointed to lose the goal in the last few seconds.â
