Ruud won't join Milan

19 April 2008 - 10:16

A Real Madrid director has rejected rumours that Ruud van Nistelrooy will be leaving the club. AC Milan are reportedly considering a £7 million move for the Dutch forward.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd can finally sign Ederson for huge bargain fee
  • "Van Nistelrooy is not available and any team that wants him will have to pay his release clause (€150million)," he told the paper.

"Why would we consider letting him leave when he has just signed an extension? Next season it is certain that he will return to be one of the top goal-scorers. We have him here and he is very important for us."

van Nistelrooy's agents backed up the claims: "There is nothing in it; it is made up. Friends have been calling me over the last few days to ask if van Nistelrooy is going to Milan. I do not know where this come from; he has only just renewed his contract and is happy in Madrid," he affirmed.

"Really, it is nothing. I was in Madrid recently to watch the match between Real Madrid and Valencia, at which I met with (Madrid sporting director Predrag) Mijatovic, and nothing was spoken of such a deal."
