Birmingham City may miss out on the permanent signing of Argentinian striker Mauro Zarate. Birmingham's lack of success this year has decreased the possibility of landing the Argentinian.
Birmingham managing director Karren Brady said: "He's good and we can't help talking about how we'd love to keep him at Blues.
"We're investigating but each goal separates us further from his Qatar club's valuation, originally £18million."
