Manchester United are looking to land the signature of Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho before the European Championships next month.
The England international was their top target during the 2020 summer transfer window, but a deal did not materialise before the deadline.
Dortmund had set a non-negotiable fee of £108m, and United were reluctant to meet the price tag citing the financial impact of Covid-19.
According to Bild, United have revived their interest in Sancho, and they want to sign him before the beginning of Euro 2020.
There is exactly a month remaining before the competition starts, and United are hopeful of signing him for around £77.4m in the coming weeks.
Dortmund are likely to consider the offer from the Red Devils as an early sale would offer them sufficient time to land a replacement.
Sancho has had an injury-plagued campaign, but he has still been in superb form, registering 14 goals and 18 assists from 35 games for Dortmund.
United are wary that Sancho's price tag may increase with a strong showing at the Euros, while that could also attract interest from other elite clubs.
