Man City for Gokhan Inler?

Sven-Goran Eriksson has reportedly been monitoring the progress of Switzerland international midfielder Gokhan Inler. The Udinese player has been in impressive form this year.

Inler had started the year as a backup player, but injuries to Pinzi and Christian Opodo meant Inler was given an opportunity in the first team.



Inler is of Turkish descent but earlier declared his intent to represent Turkey and will be likely to appear in the Swiss national team during Euro 2008.



Inler joined Udinese from FC Zurich; despite interest from Fenerbahce who told him that he was not good enough.
