Manchester City have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Brazilian striker Jo from CSKA Moscow in the summer - a deal that is believed to have broken the club's transfer record.
CSKA president Yevgeny Giner has reportedly accepted £20 million from Thaksin Shinawatra's club for the striker, and Sven-Goran Eriksson was keen to sign the player for his Premiership challenge next season.
There had been rumours that Sven-Goran Eriksson wanted to sign Jo for some time, and Thaksin Shinawatra appears to have backed the Swedish coach as he bankrolled a record move for the talented striker.
