Preview: Man City vs Fulham

Preview: Man City vs Fulham

26 April 2008 - 10:41

Today could be the day that Fulham's relegation is decided and the City of Manchester Stadium is not the easiest of places to visit. However, Fulham could shock a few with a result here, but Sven-Goran Eriksson has demanded a strong finish to save his job - and an Intertoto Cup place.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Richard Dunne could be ruled out at Eastlands after suffering a hamstring injury in the victory over Portsmouth. Micah Richards (knee) and Nedum Onuoha (shoulder) will both miss out.

Jari Litmanen has sustained an ear injury and will miss the clash, and despite Niemi looking set to return from injury Kasey Keller is set to continue.

    Squads

Man City (from): Hart, Corluka, Dunne, Garrido, Jihai, Ball, Ireland, Fernandes, Hamann, Petrov, Johnson, Castillo, Elano, Benjani, Vassel, Caicedo, Geovanni, Sturridge, Isaksson, Williamson, Logan.

Fulham (from): Niemi, Keller, Warner, Stalteri, Bocanegra, Hughes, Hangeland, Konchesky, Davies, Andreasen, Healy, Murphy, Bullard, McBride, Kamara, Johnson, Bouazza, Dempsey, Volz, Kamara, Nevland.

Hodgson: it could be my worst moment

"I've had a short, intensive spell here. It will be a major disappointment if we go down but I don't know if it will be the worst in a 32-year career.

"I didn't come to see the team go down, so it would be a big blow to me. I don't think the team has done that badly over the last four months.

"We've had bad luck at times but I think the club has great potential and if we survive in the Premiership we'll definitely be stronger next season."
