Arsenal are leading the race to sign AC Milan forward Rafael Leao, according to La Repubblica.
The Portuguese has established himself as a key player for the Rossoneri this term, bagging 10 goals and six assists.
He has exclusively played on the left wing this season, but is also comfortable operating as the main centre-forward.
According to La Repubblica, Leao is attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League ahead of the summer.
The Gunners are said to be leading the race to sign him, but the Rossoneri are determined to ward off interest.
Leao has become an undisputed starter for the Milan giants lately, and they are keen to extend his contract soon.
He is currently tied to the club until June 2024. Talks are being planned to prolong his stay until the summer of 2026.
The Gunners are keeping a close eye on him, and may pounce if there is a contract impasse over the coming months.
