Arsenal have made a fresh transfer proposal for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez amid interest from Manchester United.
The Gunners failed with an opening bid of £26m for Martinez this month, but they have since made a renewed bid of around £34.5m.
Ajax have yet to respond to the latest offer from them, but journalist Cesar Luis Merlo claims that the club have made another proposal.
They are now prepared to pay £34.5m plus £4.5m in add-ons, and it remains to be seen whether Ajax are tempted by the package.
The Dutch champions are eyeing at least £43m as a fixed fee to part ways with Martinez, who was named their Player of the Year.
Similar to Arsenal, United are very interested in signing the defender, and it is reported that Erik ten Hag is a big admirer of him.
They have yet to make a formal transfer offer for Martinez, but have made contact with his agent to monitor the ongoing situation.
