The Gunners were keen on landing Lisandro Martinez from Ajax this month, but the Argentine is now set to join Manchester United.

This has turned their attention towards Zinchenko, and it is reported that the club are \'very confident\' of landing his signature.

Talks are progressing \'very positively\' between the clubs, and Arsenal believe they can formally sign him over the next few days.

The price tag has not been revealed, but The Daily Star recently said that City will be eyeing at least £35 million for the Ukrainian.

Zinchenko has normally played as a left-back for City, but he is also comfortable operating from several midfield positions.

At the international stage, he has excelled from the number 8 and number 10 roles, and he could provide two solutions for the Gunners.

Arsenal are also eyeing a creative central midfielder. Zinchenko has the capacity to fit into the position, judging by his international displays.
