Manchester United target Sergino Dest has his sights on joining AC Milan on a permanent basis next summer.
The United States international was a top target for the Red Devils this summer, but he ended up joining Milan instead.
Erik ten Hag was keen on a reunion with his former Ajax player, but football director John Murtough decided to block the move.
As a result, Dest made the switch to the Rossoneri on loan with an option to buy, and he is now eyeing a long-term stay with them.
He told reporters via Sky Sport Italy: \"Here, I can improve a lot. Now, it\'s my turn to improve myself as much as possible.\"
\"What I can do is give my best and convince Milan to keep me at the end of the season. Now I just have to give 100 percent.\"
Milan have the option to purchase Dest permanently for €20 million. It remains to be seen whether they trigger the buy clause.
The 21-year-old has played just 45 minutes of football thus far. He has plenty of work to do to persuade Milan to keep him.
