Chelsea have been handed a transfer blow with RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer not looking to leave the Bundesliga.
The Austrian was heavily linked with a move away from Leipzig last summer, but no club were prepared to meet the £40 million asking price.
As a result, the German outfit decided to keep him, but they are likely to lose him on a free transfer when his contract expires in June 2023.
Laimer has made it clear that he does not want to renew with Leipzig, but he could still continue in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.
The German champions have been following him closely for the past few years and they are prepared to sign him on a Bosman deal.
The news will come as a huge blow for the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, who are admirers of the central midfielder.
Laimer has previously said that he does not have an urge to play in the Premier League during the prime phase of his playing career.
