Manchester United have an excellent chance to sign Napoli defender Kim Min-jae during the January transfer window.
The South Korean joined the Naples outfit from Fenerbahce for £16m and he has since been a terrific performer for them.
He was also brilliant for his nation at the World Cup and it is now claimed that United are looking at the prospect of signing him.
Kim Min-jae's current deal with Napoli has a £38m release clause and United are ready to trigger the option in the New Year.
Meanwhile, Napoli are still hopeful of keeping the defender and they are planning talks over a new long-term contract.
The Serie A giants are in a vulnerable position at the moment and they are optimistic of cancelling his clause with a renewal.
It remains to be seen what the player chooses. Kim Min-jae has the ambition of playing in the Premier League at some point.
He has the best opportunity to do so with United, who could guarantee him a regular starting spot over the coming campaigns.
