Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante is reportedly keen on finalising a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona in January.
The Frenchman has been with the west London giants for the past six years, but the club have no plans of extending his contract expiring in June.
The Blues are concerned over his injury woes over the past 18 months and are prepared to move on from him than negotiating a long-term deal.
As a result, Kante has started speaking with overseas clubs and Sport claim that he would like to make the move to Camp Nou next summer.
The player is reportedly waiting for a contract proposal from the Catalan giants before assessing offers from other European clubs.
Aside from Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the 31-year-old, who is nursing a hamstring injury.
Kante underwent a surgery for the same earlier this season and he is not expected to return to first-team action until the middle of March.
