Chelsea are ready to complete the transfer of Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile in the coming days.
The Blues have been ultra-active since the World Cup and they have already landed the signings of Andrey Santos and David Fofana.
Badiashile is the next target for the hierarchy and Fabrizio Romano claims that the Blues are close to finalising an agreement for him.
A bid has already been tabled for the Frenchman and there is an anticipation that the transfer will be finalised in the next 48 hours.
Badiashile has been linked with a Premier League move for a number of years. He was first on the radar of Manchester United in 2020.
The Red Devils could not convince him to join them but he is now prepared to take up a new challenge and has agreed terms with Chelsea.
United have been linked with him again over the past few days but they don't appear keen on making an approach for his services.
