Burnley striker Wout Weghorst is undergoing a medical with Manchester United ahead of his loan transfer.
The Dutchman was recently on loan with Besiktas in the Turkish top-flight but he has been released from his contract.
United agreed to pay a fee of around €3 million yesterday and he has now been allowed to travel to Manchester.
Weghorst will undergo his medical this evening and United plan to complete his signing as soon as possible.
They want to register him by Friday 12pm such that he is available to face Manchester City this weekend.
Weghorst is unlikely to start against the Cityzens with the lack of training, but could make a cameo appearance.
The Netherlands star would pose a different threat with his strong physical and aerial ability in the Cityzens' box.
He could be a tactical weapon for manager Erik ten Hag if they require a late winner in the Manchester derby.
United are currently fourth in the league standings with 35 points.
