Manchester United will make a formal approach to sign Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries at the end of the season.
The Dutchman was regularly linked with United during the January transfer window but a deal did not materialise in the end.
The club's owners were reluctant to spend big on the right-back but the situation is expected to change in the summer.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is likely to be sold by the club and Gazzetta dello Sport claim that he could be replaced by Dumfries.
The 26-year-old has been superb for Inter over the past 18 months but he is now deemed as dispensable by the hierarchy.
They are ready to sell him for around €40 million and United could make a genuine effort to secure his services this summer.
Aside from a right-back, the Red Devils are likely to pursue another central midfielder as well as a marquee centre-forward.
Dumfries was previously on the radar of Chelsea, but they are unlikely to move for him after landing Malo Gusto lately.
