Manchester United could make a club-record bid to sign Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos, according to The Mirror.
The Portuguese has had a brilliant season with Benfica, bagging 25 goals and 11 assists from 44 games in all competitions.
He was also brilliant for his national side at the World Cup. He bagged a stellar hat-trick in the last 16 win over Switzerland.
Hence, there are no surprises that he is on demand and The Mirror cite that United have started talks to land his services.
It is further added that the deal could cost around £70 million and it could eventually rise to £100 million with bonuses.
Ramos has also been linked with Chelsea in the past but he is unlikely to prefer a club outside of Europe next season.
The 21-year-old has cut a frustrated figure at Benfica in recent months due to the lack of progress over an improved deal.
It seems now that he will pursue a bigger challenge elsewhere this summer.
