Chelsea have been handed a big boost with Arsenal ending their interest in signing Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The Gunners were heavily interested in landing the 21-year-old in January, but the Seagulls refused to do business with them.
Brighton were adamant that he was not for sale at any price, but they have changed their stance for this summer's transfer window.
Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with him for a while, but The Times claim that the latter have cooled their transfer pursuit.
The Gunners are set to spend over £100 million on the purchase of Rice, and this has seemingly ended their desire to land Caicedo.
Meanwhile, the move is set to benefit the Blues. The London outfit are looking for N'Golo Kante's successor in the transfer market.
Caicedo would be the perfect fit for the number six role and he could be prised away from the Seagulls for around £80m in the coming weeks.
