Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has instructed the club to sign Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich this summer.
The Red Devils have sanctioned the sale of Harry Maguire to West Ham United and the move could be made official soon.
As a result, they are lining up a replacement in the transfer market and reports claim that Pavard is the main target for Ten Hag.
The France international has been looking for a way out of Bayern for the past year, and he has now entered the final year of his deal.
Hence, the German champions have no choice but to secure his sale or else he could leave on a free transfer at some point next year.
United are now looking to capitalise on the fragile contract situation and they are expected to make an opening offer pretty soon.
Pavard has already given the green light for the transfer. United may need to pay around €30 million to secure his services from Bayern.
