Chelsea have confirmed the club-record signing of Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Ecuador international has been tipped to leave the Seagulls through the summer and he has eventually made the move to the Blues.
Liverpool recently tried to hijack the deal with a £111m offer, but pulled out of the race after Caicedo made it clear that he preferred Chelsea.
The Blues have now announced his arrival from the Seagulls on an eight-year contract. There is an option to keep him for another 12 months.
The London giants have agreed to pay £100m as a fixed fee with £15m in add-ons. Brighton will have a sell-on clause as part of the deal.
Chelsea face West Ham United away from home in their next league game on August 20. Caicedo could make his full debut for the Blues.
He is likely to line up in the holding midfield role for the club, thus allowing Enzo Fernandez to operate in a more creative position.
