Luton Town have made a £2.5 million transfer bid for Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga, and the White Hart Lane side are expected to accept the bid. The player has been told he is unlikely to play as much in the 2023/24 campaign, having failed to impress new manager Ange Postecoglou during pre-season.
Tanganga is comfortable playing as a full-back or as a central defender, and Luton Town are impressed with the player's versatility.
Tanganga has appeared 27 times since making his debut in 2019, and the 24-year-old, who has appeared for England youth international teams at every level, is looking for more regular first-team football at this crucial stage of his career. Tanganga played four times for Spurs last season.
The Express has reported that Tanganga has decided it is time to try something new having been left out of the club's squad on the opening day of the season.
Tanganga still has close to 24 months on his Tottenham Hotspur contract, and there is also reports that he could depart on a short-term loan deal.
