Martin Jol lands Hamburg job

13 May 2008 - 22:54

Martin Jol has landed the Hamburg job on Tuesday evening. The former Tottenham coach has returned to football and decided that a move to the Bundesliga side, where he will replace Huub Stevens, will be a suitable challenge for him.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Jol has signed a two year contract with Hamburg, and will begin his new role in the summer after current coach Huub Stevens heads back to Holland to coach PSV Eindhoven.

Hamburg chairman Bernd Hoffmann was delighted to have landed Jol. He revealed to the club's offical website: "We are certain that in Martin Jol we have appointed the right coach."
