Manchester United have made the decision to keep Facundo Pellistri at the club beyond the summer transfer window.
The Uruguayan was widely expected to be loaned out this summer amid interest from Twente, Boca Juniors and Gremio.
However, the club have now decided to keep him until January at least. The attacker has personally spoken with manager Erik ten Hag.
Pellistri has been a regular off the bench this season, but he has been assured more minutes to impress over the forthcoming months.
Antony is currently the undisputed starter on the right wing for United, but the Brazilian has been pretty average with his performances.
Pellistri has shown glimpses of his quality off the bench, and could get the nod in the XI if Antony continues to struggle to find the net.
With Pellistri set to stay, United are not expected to make any attacking reinforcements before the transfer window closes tomorrow.
The focus could be on landing a new midfielder and a left-back. They have already agreed to sign Feyenoord goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
