Manchester United have been handed a potential boost in signing Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo next year, according to 90min.
The Red Devils followed the Frenchman closely during the last summer transfer window, but a deal did not materialise in the end.
United had planned to offload Harry Maguire before pursuing a replacement, but the Englishman decided against leaving the club.
As a result, they had to pause their plans for a new centre-back, but they could revive their interest in Todibo in January or next summer.
90min report that Nice are willing to sell Todibo in 2024. The French outfit believe the centre-back deserves to leave for a bigger club.
However, they may personally ask him to stay until the summer if they are right in the Champions League mix heading into January.
Nice have surpassed expectations during the early part of the season and they are currently second in the table behind Paris Saint-Germain.
