Manchester United target Mehdi Taremi is reportedly pushing to join Real Madrid during the January transfer window.
The Iranian star had a tremendous 2022/23 season with Porto, scoring 31 goals and providing 14 assists across all competitions.
He was touted to leave the club over the summer, but no European club was willing to meet Porto's £30m valuation for his services.
Taremi had the option of moving to Saudi with Al-Hilal, but he made it clear that he would prefer to continue in European football.
With his contract expiring next summer, United are one of the clubs considering a mid-season deal for him, but he has other plans.
Taremi has been a huge admirer of Madrid over the years and he has advised his representatives to explore a move to the Bernabeu.
Jude Bellingham has been Madrid's stand-out scorer this term with 13 goals but behind him, Joselu is the next best with only five to his name.
Los Blancos could be tempted to secure a cut-price deal for Taremi.
