Manchester United are prepared to part ways with Casemiro when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The Brazilian joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid last summer and he had a brilliant debut season in all competitions.
Casemiro made offensive and defensive contributions and he was one of the stand-out performers over the entire campaign.
He has simply failed to replicate those displays this term and he is currently out until the New Year with a hamstring issue.
It is now reported that United are prepared to sanction his sale in January. A number of Saudi Arabian clubs are lining up for him.
Meanwhile, United plan to re-invest the sum on an elite holding midfielder.
They are set to receive additional financial backing from Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who will buy a minority stake at the club soon.
Ratcliffe will be in charge of the footballing matters of the club and he is prepared to provide funds for a mid-season spree.
