Manchester United are ready to spend big on Benfica wonderkid Joao Neves after watching him closely over several months.
The Red Devils are firm admirers of the 19-year-old midfielder and they have sent scouts to monitor his performances this year.
It is now reported by Record that the Premier League club are convinced about signing him after watching him in action for some period of time.
Neves has developed from a rookie into a full fledged midfielder and United believe he is ready to make the next step in the Premier League.
Benfica are not exploring his departure at the moment and United may have to trigger his €100 million release clause to sign him.
Aside from United, Arsenal and Liverpool are also admirers of the young sensation, who is a defensive midfielder by trade.
Neves can also play centrally or on the right wing and he has all the hallmarks to become a world-class star in future.
