Manchester United have been linked with a surprise move for RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba, according to Bild.
The Red Devils were linked with the Frenchman earlier in the summer but he made the move to Bundesliga from Lyon.
Lukeba has since accumulated 16 appearances for the German side and reports claim that he has impressed United.
The Mancunian giants have scouted him continuously for some time and they are aiming to make a fresh approach for him.
However, a deal is said to be almost impossible, considering the German club have no plans of parting ways with him for now.
They sold Josko Gvardiol after multiple seasons to Manchester City and are likely to do the same with Lukeba as well.
Lukeba would be a solid acquisition for the Red Devils but as things stand, they need to play the waiting game.
He is unlikely to come on the cheap and Leipzig could easily demand over €80m to sell him in the future.
