Manchester United defender Raphael Varane is not exploring a move away from Old Trafford during the January transfer window.
The World Cup winner has fallen down the pecking order at United over the past month and he is no longer a guaranteed starter.
Harry Maguire has got the nod over him in the right centre-back position and Erik ten Hag does not see him playing at left centre-back.
The Red Devils boss feels Varane is not well suited to playing with his left foot. He preferred Luke Shaw in the role last weekend.
Despite this, Varane is not expected to push for a move in January and he is prepared to stay patient until the end of the campaign.
Unless Ten Hag makes it clear that he does not feature in his plans, the former Real Madrid man won't be seeking a winter exit.
Meanwhile, United are exploring the possibility of signing a new centre-back in January. Jean-Clair Todibo is the prime target.
