Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has put the blame on VAR after Scott McTominay scored the winner for Manchester United on Wednesday.
The Blues suffered another setback in their Premier League campaign last night. They were second best against the Red Devils and eventually suffered a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.
Speaking after the game, Colwill said that McTominay had clearly pulled him in the lead-up to the goal and believes VAR have something against him, he told Chelsea's club media:
"VAR has something against me right now, I don’t know what I’ve done to them. When I got pulled [by McTominay] they didn’t give anything. If I had pulled him like that they would have given a penalty. It is what it is."
Colwill had a difficult game in Manchester and he was outwitted by United's attackers on several occasions. He went down softly with little contact from McTominay in the lead-up to the winning goal.
VAR were right to award United with the goal. Colwill could now face repercussions from the Premier League for his comments over the decision could be suspended for at least one game in our opinion.
