Sven ponders Mexico move

Sven ponders Mexico move

16 May 2008 - 23:31

Sven-Goran Eriksson has admitted that he has had an offer from Mexico. The Man City boss looks to be heading for the exit door despite completing Thaksin Shinawatra's early season goal of a place in the top 10 of the Premiership. The Mexico international side are set to offer Sven a contract.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • "I was called from Mexico. My agent is the person who analyses the contract terms," confirmed the former England coach.

"I can just say I was contacted. However, it's not the right time to make a decision.

"The Mexico offer is not the first proposal. It is just one more and I will study it with my people. I have nothing clear yet.

"My relationship with Manchester City is still running, we have a tour now and I will complete my commitments. Then I don't know what is going to happen.

"Coaching a national team is always attractive, no matter if it is Mexico, England, Sweden or any other."
