Eintracht Frankfurt have signed Hugo Ekitiké in a loan deal with an eventual permanent transfer worth around 30 million euros, and in completing the signing have procured one of Europe\'s brightest attacking prospects, with the 21-year-old striker leaving Paris St Germain for a new opportunity in the Bundesliga. It is understood that PSG\'s coaching team see no future for the attacker in the club\'s squad.
Ekitike had caught the eye in Reims\' first-team in 2021-2022, which persuaded PSG to spend a reported transfer fee of 30 million euros to sign the 6 foot 2 striker. However since arriving in the French capital, 3 league goals in 25 games has not impressed the club\'s hierarchy sufficiently and now the 21-year-old will leave the country for Germany.
It is understood some Premier League teams had shown late interest in the striker, but Ekitike\'s heart was set on a move to Eintracht having been impressed with the club\'s development in recent years, as well as the club\'s commitment to developing youth players.
The loan deal will cost Frankfurt around 2 million euros.
