Chelsea and Manchester United are prepared to go head-to-head to land Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee in the summer.
The Dutchman has had a fine 2023/24 campaign with Bologna so far. He has registered 10 goals and provided another six assists.
He is touted to pursue a bigger challenge at the end of the season and reports claim that he could end up in the Premier League.
Chelsea and United are fancied to go head-to-head with the likes of AC Milan and Barcelona for the services of the 22-year-old.
Bologna are said to be reluctant to lose their prized asset, but a package in the region of €50-60 million will persuade them to sell.
Bayern have the option of re-signing Zirkzee for around €40m, but it seems unlikely that they will trigger the clause this summer.
Instead, they are prepared to make a profit. They will be entitled to 50 per cent of the sell-on fee beyond the €8m paid by Bologba.
