Man Utd ready to offload winger for £43m loss

Antony to be offloaded on the cheap

Man Utd ready to offload winger for £43m loss

27 February 2024 - 21:08

Manchester United are ready to offload Antony for a significant loss during the summer transfer window, according to Daily Mail.

  • Confirmed Man Utd line-up vs Liverpool, Matheus Cunha starts
  • Chelsea quoted price to sign Igor Thiago
  • The Brazilian joined the Red Devils from Ajax in the summer of 2022. He was signed for an overall package of £86 million.

The decision has not been worthwhile for the club with Antony struggling to cope with the demands of the Premier League.

Antony has only nine goals and four assists from 70 outings and he is currently on the bench due to his poor displays.

Erik ten Hag has already said that he must step up to retain his spot and we won't be surprised if he heads for the exit door.

Daily Mail claim that the hierarchy are ready to cut their losses on the former Ajax man. They are willing to accept £43m.

This would represent a 50 per cent loss on the buying price, but the club feel it would be better to offload an underperformer.
