Ajax are prepared to negotiate Brian Brobbey's move to Manchester United for a fee of more than €60 million.
The Red Devils are on the hunt for a new centre-forward and they have been linked with several candidates lately.
Brobbey recently said that United are one of his dream destinations and Mike Verweij claims that Ajax are not looking at a sale.
However, the reputed journalist added that the Dutch giants could change their stance if they receive more than €60m.
United have been guilty of overpaying for players in the past and they signed Antony from Ajax for a hefty €100m in 2022.
The fans have criticised the club's business on multiple occasions and it is unlikely that they will repeat the same old mistake.
With a new management group at the helm under Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the onus could be on signing upcoming young prospects.
The club are unlikely to pay over the odds, considering the need to stay within the FFP limits while developing the side.
