Joan Laporta has opened the door for Brazilian star Ronaldinho to leave Barcelona. The striking ace has been linked with a move to Serie A, with AC Milan linked with a move for the forward.

“I am very grateful to Ronaldinho, but we’ve told him that he needs new challenges,” Laporta said on TV3.



“When you finish an era, it’s normal that the leading figures should leave.



“I very much hope that Ronaldinho can leave as Frank Rijkaard has done, with his head held high, and that we can remember him as the man who give us two League titles and the Champions League."
