Kuffour set for Stoke City?

19 May 2008 - 18:23

Samuel Kuffour has been linked with a shock move to Premiership newcomers Stoke City. The Ghanaian defender has just been released by Ajax Amsterdam after six months; after failing to make an impression on the club's coaching staff.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd can finally sign Ederson for huge bargain fee
  • Kuffour is famous for his time at Bayern Munich, where he was a crucial part of their successful sides of the late 90's.

Kuffour then tried his luck in Serie A at Roma, but the club decided to let him join Ajax.

Now, Stoke City are set to make a move for the defender who would add crucial assistance to a side devoid of any top flight experience.

Stoke City reportedly have £30 million to spend on new players, and the only stumbling block for their pursuit of Kuffour would be the £35,000 per week that the Ghanaian is demanding.
