Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly pushing the club to sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee this summer.
The Dutchman had a decent second year with Bologna, scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists from 37 appearances.
Ten Hag is now keen to bring his compatriot to Old Trafford and United are already in advanced negotiations to do so.
They have reached an agreement with his agent over the commission and will soon trigger the £34m release clause in his deal.
A transfer won't materialise until the green light from the striker. It is widely expected that Zirkzee will agree to the move.
He was initially keen on continuing in Serie A with AC Milan, but the Rossoneri have failed to agree terms with his agent.
Hence, United are clearly front-runners to land his signature unless there is fresh competition from one of his long-term admirers.
Arsenal were heavily linked with the Dutch marksman at the start of the year, but they have cooled their pursuit in recent weeks.
