Manchester United are reportedly close to reaching an agreement to sign Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt from Bologna and Bayern Munich respectively.
The Red Devils have had a quiet summer transfer window, but they are expected to be active in the coming weeks. The Athletic today report that talks are underway between United and Bologna over Zirkzee.
The Dutch international has agreed terms with the Red Devils and United now need to either trigger his £34m release clause or negotiate terms with the Serie A outfit over a long-term instalment plan for the striker.
Meanwhile, United are also in advanced negotiations to land De Ligt from Bayern. The centre-back has given the green light for a transfer and reports claim that they could sign him for around £34m up front.
United are expected to speed up the transfer process for both players and they could complete the formalities as soon as they return from the European Championship in Germany.
