Manchester United are lining up a loan approach for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, according to L'Equipe.
The Red Devils are eyeing a new defensive midfielder this summer, considering Casemiro is no longer in the prime of his career.
Ugarte has been earmarked as the priority target and reports claim that the 23-year-old has already agreed personal terms over a five-year deal.
United have yet to make a formal approach for his services, but they have been handed a boost with PSG ready to sanction his loan exit.
The French champions are about to sign Joao Neves from Benfica and they are ready to offload Ugarte on a paid loan with a high buy clause.
Les Parisiens are aware that they cannot recoup the entire €60m fee spent on him, considering his scattered playing time last season.
A loan move would also suit the Red Devils who have a limited budget. Ugarte is reportedly determined to join them this summer.
