Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has heaped praise on midfielder Cole Palmer ahead of the new campaign.
Palmer joined the Blues from Manchester City for £40 million last summer and he was tremendous for them with 27 goals and 15 assists in all competitions.
He went to impress for England at Euro 2024. Palmer provided the assist for the match-winning goal against the Netherlands and also netted in the final versus Spain.
Ahead of the new campaign, new Blues boss Maresca described him as a fantastic player and he is looking forward to the midfielder's goal contributions next term.
He said: "On and off the ball, he's a fantastic player. He scored [over] 20 goals last season. Hopefully, he can score the same [this season] but it's not easy... What we want from Cole is to try and be himself."
Palmer has been handed a break after England's road to the final at Euro 2024. He is expected to join his teammates for pre-season training after the United States tour.
